Dr. Shady Abdelbaki (Known by many of his patients as Dr. A) is a double board-certified rheumatologist and internist who has spent more than five years caring for people with autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal disease. He completed his rheumatology fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and his internal medicine residency at Yale New Haven Health – Bridgeport Hospital, after earning his medical degree with honors from Ain Shams University Faculty of Medicine.
A Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University and a published author in the field, Dr. Abdelbaki previously served as an attending rheumatologist at ChristianaCare, and later at PMSI's Department of Rheumatology in Pottstown. He is a member of the American College of Rheumatology. His clinical interests span inflammatory arthritis, connective-tissue disease, osteoporosis, gout, vasculitis, and myositis — with a particular focus on reaching an accurate diagnosis and building a treatment plan around each patient's life.

The person behind the practice
Originally from Cairo, Egypt, Dr. Abdelbaki now calls Montgomery County, PA home, where he lives with his wife and their two companions — a dog named Holly and a bird named Kiwi. Outside the clinic, he's a lifelong musician who plays the drums and electric guitar, an avid scuba diver, and an enthusiastic traveler always happy to explore somewhere new.
